A club is defined by the people who have worn the crest and the brotherhood forged in the battles of yesteryear and tomorrow. 43 years ago, a group of Eagles from American University decided to create something bigger than themselves, something that would survive for generations of men who would grow into the Washington Irish.

Today, we reflect on our 43 years of the Washington Irish Rugby Football Club. We will always celebrate who we are and where we came from.

We will always honor the crest. And we will forever remain committed to the simple ideal that we are stronger together and together we can once again become the best rugby team on the pitch
